A Great High Priest. Hebrews 4:14-16

There is so much packed into these three verses there could be a book written about it. We have in Christ a great high priest whom we don't have to fear. We don't have to approach him cowering for fear of judgment and scorn. We can approach him with confidence because of what he has accomplished for us. What great news!

Every situation you find yourself in, rest assured knowing Jesus understands. He doesn't just understand, but he's been in a situation similar to it. And he defeated that situation so that you can come to him for help in defeating it also.

Hebrews 4:14-16
14Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has gone through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. 15For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet was without sin. 16Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
