Rainy Day. Psalm 111

Happy Tuesday to you all. It's a rainy day again today in Tulsa, OK. I hope that the weather doesn't get you down. If it does, then here's a passage that will lift your spirit. If, on the other hand, the weather has the opposite effect on you, this Psalm is equally appropriate. May our hearts be united as one even as we read this passage from all around the state. Our God is worthy of praise.

Psalm 111
1 Praise the LORD.
I will extol the LORD with all my heart
in the council of the upright and in the assembly.

2 Great are the works of the LORD;
they are pondered by all who delight in them.

3 Glorious and majestic are his deeds,
and his righteousness endures forever.

4 He has caused his wonders to be remembered;
the LORD is gracious and compassionate.

5 He provides food for those who fear him;
he remembers his covenant forever.

6 He has shown his people the power of his works,
giving them the lands of other nations.

7 The works of his hands are faithful and just;
all his precepts are trustworthy.

8 They are steadfast for ever and ever,
done in faithfulness and uprightness.

9 He provided redemption for his people;
he ordained his covenant forever—
holy and awesome is his name.

10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom;
all who follow his precepts have good understanding.
To him belongs eternal praise.

Questions
1. How do you think you can tell if someone trusts the Lord?By the way they act; wether they love others, whether they lean on him when times get rough like in the story that you told us a while ago about Moses. He trusted. There were so many hardships they faced on their journey and Moses believing and trusting God got them through it all!

2. What do you think fear of the Lord has to do with wisdom?Well, there are different definitions or views on what wisdom really is. It could be an old Indian saying how to make it rain or it could be like a preacher telling how God created the Earth...but I think that if you are wise then you will listen to God and depend on Him.
3. What did you like best about this passage? Well, i really like verses 3-5. i liked them all but those really show how great && gracious God is at both times. He's great because he has caused many wonders to be remembered but also gracious when it says he provides food for those who fear him. That let's me know that even before i was a christian or became involved at church he had all this planned out. He had great friends put in my life a wonderful family and an awesome church!

1. How do you think you can tell if someone trusts the Lord?
by the way they:
talk
act
do things
if they are outgoing for the Lord
if they are apprecative of things they get...
a good person, meaning a person who is thankful for all things.
2. What do you think fear of the Lord has to do with wisdom?
wisdom comes from fearing the Lord, right?
and if that is right, then another words, the wisdom of people come from thinking that the Lord is all mighty.
3. What did you like best about this passage?
the fact that, God is worthy of all praise, for our whole eternity.
and that is a GREAT thing!
