Welcome back to the blog. We read this at home last night and it was such an encouragement to me I wanted to send it out for all of you. I pray your soul finds its needed rest in this passage. Sometimes weariness overtakes us little by little until we finally just accept it as a way of life. We come to believe, that's just the way it is. Here the promise is restoration to the weary or burdened soul even in the tough times. Grace and peace.
Psalm 23
A psalm of David.
1 The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
3 he restores my soul.
He guides me in paths of righteousness
for his name's sake.
4 Even though I walk
through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
6 Surely goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD
forever.
Questions

2. ...to others?
3. What has God used in your life to comfort you?

After i read the first question
(1. How does restoration of the soul draw us closer to God?) i was wondering, what exactly is restoration?
and, restoration is the condition of being restored or bringing back to a formal condition, and so... putting that into the question being, How does being restored of the soul draw us closer to God?
This could be by when God meads our souls, it brings us closer to Him. When God restores us, it makes us want to be closer to the one who restored us.
2. ...to others?
same as above.
3. What has God used in your life to comfort you?
people,
places (i.e. like, the church and knowing that that place has kind, good people in it, the ones that care about people.)
prayer (like, knowing that i can pray anytime, anywhere, about just about anything.)
